We projected a warehouse for logistics, consisting of three connected industrial naves, six high tonnage truck docks and street layout.

The ground was used to empty neighboring properties. Therefore up to12m depth, it had low resistance characteristics and deformation. In these conditions we used deep foundations with moulded concrete poles, with different diameter, done by continuous auger.  

The street layout and the interior floor, designed for high traffic and considerable storage loads, with high and constant activity, were a challenge during the Project phase. Due to the poor characteristics of the ground, we ponder the soil substitution in 0,70m height, using controlled embankment with geogrids, and the use of gravel and tout-venant foundations with 0,40m thick. We studied the costs/benefits having the technical quality as major factor; therefore we decided to follow the second solution. Considering the traffic characteristics and the calculated foundation for the street layout, we projected a rigid concrete pavement with 0,21m thick, reinforced with metallic fibers. For the interior floors, we projected also a concrete pavement, reinforced with metallic fibers and superficially hardened.

Taking into consideration the ecological concerns of the job owner, we adopted power consumption reduction solutions, which consisted of:

- the conception of a solar exploitation system to warm the sanitary water and that will develop to the assurance of night lighting;

- the use of Solatube skylights to raise the power of solar light and assure the levels of luminosity required by the use of mobile terminals in the warehouse, to the detriment of the conventional skylights, considerably less efficient.
